Local Trails for Plant Viewing

The Sanhedrin area, comprised of inland Mendocino and Lake Counties, has a variety of diverse landscapes and plant communities that call this place home. Below is a list of parks and trails in the Sanhedrin area that offer excellent spring wildflower viewing and year-round enjoyment.

Lake County:

• Anderson Marsh State Historic Park, Lower Lake

• Clear Lake State Park, Kelseyville

• Highland Springs Lake trails, Kelseyville

• Mount Konocti County Park, Kelseyville

• Molok Luyuk (formerly Walker Ridge) east Lake County
  

Mendocino County:

• Brooktrails Township open space trails, northwest of Willits

• Lake Mendocino trails, Ukiah (trails start at Coyote Dam, the end of Deerwood Drive, or the Bushay area off Hwy. 20)

• Little Darby Environmental Education Area and Nature Trail, BLM land east of Willits

• Low Gap Park, west of Ukiah

• Mill Creek Park, Valley View and Ridge trails, east of Ukiah

• Montgomery Woods, west of Ukiah
